Clair-O
Product understanding doesn't transfer between trades.
We turn product catalogues into intelligent databases, then give them an adviser. One vertical at a time — because an armchair and a surfboard are not described with the same words.
Online commerce is changing its point of entry.
Yesterday, a customer typed keywords into a search engine. Today, they describe what they want — to an assistant, or to a site able to listen.
In both cases, the same condition applies: a catalogue the machine genuinely understands. That is what we build for merchants, trade by trade.
Services
Four services, across every trade.
A catalogue knows how to display products. That does not mean it knows how to make them understood. Each service is sold separately, and applies in the same way whatever the trade — only the vocabulary changes.
Audit
We measure what an artificial intelligence genuinely understands about the catalogue, and what escapes it. A file extract is enough.
Find out more →02Normalisation and enrichment
Every supplier writes in their own way. We unify the vocabulary, then produce the trade knowledge missing from the records.
Find out more →03The adviser
An adviser built into the merchant's site, which asks questions, recommends from genuinely available products, and explains its choices.

The catalogue structured and documented for compatible AI engines, platforms and agents. With no promise of ranking.
Find out more →Why one vertical at a time
Every trade has its own vocabulary. None can be improvised.
A general-purpose tool can compare dimensions and prices. It cannot tell what a customer actually means, because that meaning changes entirely from one trade to the next.
Furniture
“Something sculptural, but not too heavy.”
Surf
“A lively board, but one that still forgives.”
The same method, two entirely different doctrines. It is that groundwork, trade by trade, that separates a search engine from an adviser.
Filters narrow.
Advisers choose.
Our verticals
Three trades, one same standard.
The sales adviser for furniture and interiors retailers. It understands an imprecise request, asks questions, recommends from the real catalogue, and reads a photograph of the customer's room.
The adviser for shapers and surf shops. The vocabulary has nothing in common with furniture: rider ability, build, wave type, volume, forgiveness. The doctrine is entirely different.
A third vertical, devoted to craft and the applied arts, where every piece is different and standardised data barely exists. We will say no more about it until it ships.
Our principles
What we do not do.
We invent nothing
A Clair-O adviser only recommends references genuinely present in the catalogue, with their real attributes. When a product does not exist, it says so rather than quietly offering something else.
The data stays with the client
The enriched catalogue belongs to the merchant and remains theirs, even if they decide to stop there. We do not build dependency on the data we produce for them.
We promise nothing impossible
No guaranteed ranking in AI assistants, no conversion figure announced before it has been measured. We would rather state what we do not control.
